ECDS Digital Basics

About Course

This course is primarily designed for Graduate Student workers in the Digital Scholarship Training Program at ECDS, but can also be useful for anyone looking for a quick guide to commonly used digital tools.

During their first year, all ECDS graduate students are expected to learn the tools listed under Digital Basics unless they reach an alternative arrangement with the DSTP Program Manager. Priority should be given to learning high-resolution scanning, Canvas, WordPress, and digital storytelling.

A reasonable timeline would have a student earn a badge every few weeks, with some room for flexibility over the course of the academic year.
